Overview
The Kurdistan Future Movement (KFM) is a left-wing, nationalist political organization founded on January 20, 2020, primarily active in Eastern (Rojhilat) Kurdistan (Iranian Kurdistan). Its headquarters are located in Southern Kurdistan (Iraqi Kurdistan).
The movement has an armed wing called the Homeland Protection Force and a special operations unit known as the National and Homeland Security Protection Command, which operates to defend Kurdish national interests until an official National Army can be established under a self-governing administration.
